What is Interim Treasury Management?

Interim Treasury Management is the short term provision of skilled treasury executives to carry out projects involving transition, project management or systems development, often in times of uncertainty or change in the organisation.

Interim Treasury Managers will have a strong and continuing track record of successful interim management over several years in varying companies. They must be able to step in at short notice and are expected to add value quickly.

Assignments typically run from 3 to 9 months during which time there will be a regular review of achievements made against previously mutually agreed goals.

In addition to project management and systems development roles, interim treasury managers can provide extra experience and knowledgeable resource in the following situations:

  • Major refinancing
  • Acquisitions, disposals, mergers and restructuring
  • Continuity of day to day management during a period of critical vacancies
  • Crisis management or turnaround situations
  • Reviewing the treasury requirements for a rapidly expanding company with no prior in-house treasury expertise
